Here's why:<br /><br />It's thick, wavy, and bleached (I'm sorry, "blonded") beyond belief. I use a straightening iron on it everyday. With all of this heat styling and chemical processing, it goes without saying that I get BREAKAGE. Bigtime.<br /><br />So I decided to just have my hair cut in March 2008...and it was fierce.<br /><p align="center"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEihE0jOtMyh7Xz4i99YuwH-LIzznxFj76hf9YnsrgnUJmpi_Png0d9eeAe4is8k9qnUhrji-SXWCNEK2-wz5WEPOxsAyzKlIRfv1akiYa00TVCpcqbHFpf7PO69y6Yj1Ip4TFciQQFPR982/s1600-h/20080505.JPG"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5212292844003193378" style="CURSOR: hand" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEihE0jOtMyh7Xz4i99YuwH-LIzznxFj76hf9YnsrgnUJmpi_Png0d9eeAe4is8k9qnUhrji-SXWCNEK2-wz5WEPOxsAyzKlIRfv1akiYa00TVCpcqbHFpf7PO69y6Yj1Ip4TFciQQFPR982/s320/20080505.JPG" border="0" /></a></p><br />See? I was kinda going for the graduated bob thing.<br />But then...EVERYONE AND THEIR DOG got this hair cut. And it turned me off from it.<br />So I'm trying to grow out my hair now.<br /><br /><strong>Problem:</strong> I know its growing...I get crazy roots every 8 weeks. But it keeps breaking. And I don't have the money to buy the expensive stuff to fix it.<br /><br /><strong>Solution:</strong> Surprisingly...for me...(PS--I work at a hair salon and I still SWEAR by salon products) the only stuff that has been working to get my hair to stop breaking has been Herbal Essences Long Term Relationship Shampoo & Conditioner (@$2.99 each) and De-Frezz Cream by Sunsilk ($4).<br /><br /><strong>My Way to Justify the Breakup With My Salon Products (for now):</strong> I think back to when I was in high school and I had long, gorgeous hair. And then I remebered that when I was in high school, I used drugstore shampoo & conditioners. Maybe all of these salon-brand products are a load of shizzzz?? I don't know. But I do know that right now, Herbal Essences is working; so I'm stickin with it. That, and I'm cheap.<br /><br />In the mean time, I am using clip-in hair extensions. Sally's beauty supply has Remy's Euronext 100% Human Hair Extensions ($69.99 per pack). My hair is thick, so I bought 2 packs. They have all different colors, so its easy to find one that will match those gorgeous golden locks of yours! I had mine cut to blend in with my short layers in my real hair.<br /><br />Here's what it looks like:<br /><br /><br /><p align="center"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjijF11lwJHrlpXVt6kwW47ajeppfZ05uq3oapXVNLdg5JL6VhWm4vaopevUc1I0KYs6iVG06qR3h4OqHTGtej-W1aMVTUFLVgb3auSNNPsr-b95kJBDkedP-QygnT95aWLivypEw_TWuyg/s1600-h/004.JPG"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5212292132988687202" style="CURSOR: hand" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjijF11lwJHrlpXVt6kwW47ajeppfZ05uq3oapXVNLdg5JL6VhWm4vaopevUc1I0KYs6iVG06qR3h4OqHTGtej-W1aMVTUFLVgb3auSNNPsr-b95kJBDkedP-QygnT95aWLivypEw_TWuyg/s320/004.JPG" border="0" /></a></p><p align="left">You can't even tell I have short hair. The only thing I hate is that I can't let people touch my head or they would know my little secret. ha.</p><p align="left"></p><p align="left">This will definitely do for the long year ahead of me trying to grow this mop out! Thats it for now!</p><p align="left"></p><p align="left">♥</p><p align="left">Sarah</p>BlondeAmbitionhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16971267208602666088noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3395388942955775677.post-45324043603872896382008-06-15T14:44:00.000-07:002008-06-15T15:03:29.319-07:00First Post Evaaaa!<span style="font-family:lucida grande;font-size:85%;">Oh look at me, I'm ridiculously excited right now.</span><br /><span style="font-family:lucida grande;font-size:85%;"></span><br /><span style="font-family:lucida grande;font-size:85%;">I wanted to start this whole thing off with a bit of a disclaimer...that being noted, here we go:</span><br /><span style="font-family:lucida grande;font-size:85%;"></span><br /><span style="font-family:lucida grande;font-size:85%;">DISCLAIMER:</span><br /><span style="font-family:lucida grande;font-size:85%;"></span><br /><span style="font-size:85%;"><span style="font-family:lucida grande;">This blog is intended to shed some light on the things that I enjoy as a young 20-something year old woman. Those things namely being:</span></span><br /><span style="font-size:85%;"><span style="font-family:lucida grande;"></span></span><br /><ul><li><span style="font-size:85%;"><span style="font-family:lucida grande;">makeup</span></span></li><li><span style="font-size:85%;"><span style="font-family:lucida grande;">hair</span></span></li><li><span style="font-size:85%;"><span style="font-family:lucida grande;">fashion </span></span></li></ul><p><span style="font-size:85%;"><span style="font-family:lucida grande;">(in no particular order)</span></span></p><p><span style="font-size:85%;">But see now...I am not just <em>any</em> type of 20-something year old woman...I am a <span style="color:#000000;">platinum blonde</span><span style="color:#000000;">, fair-skinned (but always striving to be tan), 5-foot-6-inch, 135lb (size 4 in US), 34A cup, 20-something year old woman. I wanted to share my love of all things complimentary to my physical composition and hopefully those other ladies special enough to have some of the same attributes as I do will take something educational away from it. It was much harder than I thought to find sites on the web that catered to the girls in this world who are built like me. From my personal experience, most makeup blogs/tutorials on the web are hosted by girls of the Asian persuasion or by girls who are naturally brunette or darker- skinned. And while there is nothing wrong with that, I found out the hard way that things that look good on them don't look good on me. </span></span></p><p><span style="font-size:85%;">I wanted to have my little blog be something that the "me's" of the world can relate to. Because as everyone knows...BLONDES DO IT BETTER.</span></p><p><span style="font-size:85%;"></span> </p><p><span style="font-size:85%;">♥</span></p><p><span style="font-size:85%;">Sarah</span></p>BlondeAmbitionhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16971267208602666088noreply@blogger.com0
